Do I need to be a strong swimmer?+
It is not a requirement to be a confident swimmer, though a basic level of swimming is preferred. Swimmers are provided with wetsuits that offer natural buoyancy, making it easy to float effortlessly. For those who are less confident, the shore option is recommended, as swimmers can enter the water gradually at their own pace.
What's the difference between the beach tour and the boat tour?+
The Beach Tour (10:30, 12:30 &15:00) departs from Los Cristianos, where swimmers enter the water gradually from the beachfront into the infamous Bay of Stringrays - a perfect option for families and beginners. | The Boat Tour (13:30) departs from Puerto Colón, where swimmers are taken further out to sea and get to enjoy a scenic boat ride. This tour takes you to a more secluded area, where Tenerife's coastal reefs and volcanic formations can be explored.
How long is the experience?+
Swimmers will spend approximately 50 minutes snorkelling. Factoring in check-in, the safety briefing and equipment fitting, the experience generally totals to around 2 hours.
